I pass....I pass...

Its been so many days since my last posting.

Was so caught up with work last week that I didn’t even have the time to open up my Internet Explorer. Well, glad that’s over….

So you’re probably asking, what the hell did you pass?? AArrrggg yes….. You see, I was on leave on the earlier half of today. Reason because I went to take my long overdue motorcycle lesson. Awoke this morning at 7am and started lessons @ the school in Ubi since 830 am. I must really be getting old as I really feel tired today. So what they say is true, if you are aching all over after the practical test, chances are you pass.

Well it was all worth it. I did pass on my 3rd attempt. All that is in between me and my dream machine is the final Traffic Police test on the 21 March 2006. Pls whoever is reading this, pls put in a prayer for me, it should go something like, please let the sun shine brightly that day, especially more so, into the tester’s eyes when Adriel made a mistake here and there.

Thanks in advance all. Remember it is on the 21st March 2006, in the morning….just to be more specific.

Post Valentine's Day

Took some pictures of the dinner that we had in lieu of Valentine's day. The meal consisted of Hong Kong Mee, Sambal Kang Kong & Ceral Prawns (for some strange reason....i didn't see a singale piece of ceral)
Oh and not forgeting the heart shaped chocolate cake that Debbs bought for the night.

I gave her the Esprit bag that I got after much triuble yesterday and I'm so glad she loved it. Makes all the trouble seem worth it now.

Lunch in today due to some unforeseen incident...... had Mian Fen Guo from Kopi Tiam.

Time seems to be crawling today....

Its Valentine's Day

Its that time of the year again when retailers, especially florists are feeling all the love. The innocent looking part timers have come out in full force armed with baskets and baskets of roses, preying on unsuspecting men who, god forbid, forgot to get their better half a plant.

Ok enough of being cynical. Valentine’s Day is actually quite an enjoyable season…..if you can call one day a season. I spent a good part of my lunch out getting a pressie for my future wife. I actually saw something yesterday, a red handbag from ESPRIT and was going to get it, but…………. My kind and wonderful colleagues decided that they wanted to have a look at it as well. (Think it is just an excuse for them to go shopping …hahaha)

Anyway we made our way to cuppage centre for a quick lunch, (which I will get to at the end of this post) and proceeded to Centrepoint. Imagine the shock I was in when, not one…. Felt that the bag was nice…. Hmmm either I had really poor taste in female handbags …or I’m surrounded by kids with a total different concept of fashion… Well I held my composure, not showing even the slightest sign of panicky and suggested mebbe we walk around.

Things started to pick up from there cos I met my savior. Michelle and Aloysius. These were close friends of Debbs and if anyone knew what Debbie liked, it would be Michelle.

We looked around Robinson and decided on a handbag…. Was about to get it when I saw the price…. Whooo!!!!!…..nope… dun think that is gonna happen today…. How do you justify a handbag that is $150 and it doesn’t even use batteries???!!!!……

Just when I thought all was lost, we went back to ESPRIT. Yes !! there is a branch in Centrepoint. Michelle picked out a black bag and felt that Debbs would most probably like it…. I felt it was a whole lot nicer than the one we saw earlier too…..so a quick glance at the price and although it is still costly for a bag (in my opinion at least)….

I got my Valentine’s Day gift!!!!

Thanked Michelle and went back to work a happy man.

Oh…before I go. Lunch consisted of mixed rice with sweet and sour pork, braised pork, bean sprouts and long beans. The damage…..$3.50.

Its confirmed.....Hexy has found a new owner.

Yup....awoke early Sat morning to meet the guy who was going to adopt Hexy. Turns out he’s from China, a rather friendly chap who came to Singapore 6 years ago. Met him @ Golden mile complex since that was where he got his insurance. We proceed to the bike shop that was supposed to do the transfer and as luck has it, the boss wasn’t in, probably went touring in KL and was told that they can only do it on Monday.
Not wanting to waste anymore time, all 3 of us (his wife came along) rushed down to LTA @ Sin Ming in an attempt to facilitate the transfer on the day itself.

Finally things started to fall in place and the entire procedure went like clock work. We were done with the transfer @ about 1145 am. (Just in time too- half day on Sat)

Went back to the shop to collect Hexy and did some minor servicing work on her and it was time to say goodbye.

Looking at her rear lights disappear as he made a left turn suddenly made me realize that we had a good time together even though she did give me a few headaches. I’m such a sentimental person…..hahaha

Oh well….hope Hexy is in better hands.

Let the search for my new ride begin!!!

Mini Gathering @ me place

Had a mini gathering last Friday with the traffic peps. Had heaps of food, as usual followed by a rather interesting session of blackjack. Till now, I’m still wondering who won and who lost. Seems like everyone either broke even.

Anyway, thanks all for coming and hoped that everyone had a fun time.

Gotta get a camera handy, dun like to do postings without pictures.

Well, she met up with her prospective buyer yesterday and I gez it was love at first sight. The guy called me about an hour later and sealed the deal. Now the question is……is Hexy really going.?

Many years of experience/disappointment dealing with buyers, (especially young buyers) I know better than to trust their word. Gone are the days when your words do mean a thing. Oh well, I will take it that Hexy really leaving when I see the moooo neee …

Till then, she is still faithfully ferrying me around town.

Lunch @ Isle Cafe - Paradize Centre

Thanks to a suggestion from Peh San, I am going to jolt down what I eat in an attempt to journalise my eating habits and hopefully get some weight management going.

So today's lunch was at Isle Cafe, 2nd floor Paradiz Centre.

Mixed rice with Kang Kong, Long beans and Fried chicken cutlet.

Critic:
Food was average, typical mixed rice standard. Price was reasonable tho. ($2.80)

Will try their western food the next time I'm there.

I have a dream......oops had a dream

Today started relatively hectic, had some bookings to do. But what caught my attention today was the dream that I had during my sleep today.

I dreamt of my granddad. Funny though caused he ended his journey on this earth more than a year ago, the details of the dream is kinda fuzzy but it went something like……. I was visiting him during the CNY and he gave me a hong bao. Nothing different but what hit me was the fact that in his own ways, he did showed us that he cared and loved us.

I awoke reminiscing of the time spent together.

He was a quiet man but his strong character spoke heaps without the need the words.

He will be sorely missed.

CNY is almost over......

CNY has entered into it's ninth day. This year’s CNY is especially memorable not because of the people I met or the way events unfold…… It’s because…… it’s the last year of getting Hong Bao!!!

All my life I received money wrapped in that little red packet….. during this wonderful festive period but.........

Alas …all good things must come to an end.. it’s time to return the “debt” . Come next year, I’ll be the one doing the handing out. Actually, come to think of it, this year is going to be quite an exciting year for me.

Will keep that for the next posting…I’ll end this with a picture of the Traffic gals and guys….

I'm a storyteller.....and my story must be told.....

Anyone remember that show/cartoon in the 80s where they start the show with this song that goes…. “I’m a storyteller and my story has been told….” That song has been in my head for the past 20 odd years…..just ask debbs she knows all to well. Every time the word “Story” comes up, I’ll break in a song that consist of the above nine words….hahah can’t remember the rest of the lyrics.

So I sit here, wondering what the day has in stored for me today. Just checked my Toto and 4D from last year……. Yup I could have been one of the millionaire that was wandering in Singapore not knowing that I was RICH!!!!... oh well. So much for that dream…. I’ll focus on the 10 million draw this week instead.

I must say… this blogg thingy is kinda cool. Sure beats writing all the incomprehensible HTML codes of yesterdays……

Finally ....let the thots flow

The year 2006, time is 3:46pm on the sixth day of Feb. Decided to finally pen some words into my blogg that I created eon ago….It all happened last year when I first saw my wife to be’s blogg. Ironical as it may seem, I am the one who spends the large portion of my time online yet she was the first to have her blogg up. Well then again, she has always been the one with the brains…me….not the sharpest pencil in the pack…..

Oh well…so how does one go about finding a topic to write ??? let me go have a quick think….

Ps: If you see nothing new in the next few days… u gotta understand I’m not the sharpest…. Dude in town….
