Apologies for not updating the blog recently. Many things have happened over the course of 1 week (more on that later) and well, I just wasn't up to it.... The pictures at the botom was taken on the 15th Oct 2006 during the blessing of my new place, its been sitting under the draft status for the longest time and I decided I better get off my arse and start the ball rolling again.
The blessing of the home was headed by Father William Lim from the Queen of Peace Church in Katong. It was quite an eye opener for me, as the father went rom to room, spraying holy water onto walls, doors, altar, anything you can think of. Ha Ha.... it was quite amusing I must say. *Sorry Father William*
It was a small group that came together to share our home blessing and a Popian Party,
both our parents,
Lawrence and Selynn
Misha, Eddie & oh so cute Caitlin
Naddie & Yvonne

Office Gathering one Last Time
It seems the posting these days are so filled with sadness. Our Traffic team is at its cross roads again. Well, it all started when Xiaobai and PS decided to leave us for Sydney and Discovery respectively. That was a few months after Lisa left us to go to another building. Funny how we took our daily lunch for granted and our daily interactions as another progression of the day.
Guess it is hard to put it in words, especially when the group of us just came together so naturally. Still remember the first day at work, thought it was going to be tough to be working with all of these gals…. But once again my fears were unfounded. Ok I will stop about all the history and focus on probably the last gathering at me place.
Well the gals, started arriving at around 6:30 even though they had the half day off from the big boss from NY. (Somethings never change, told them to come around 5-6pm and why am I not surprise that they reach here at half past 6). Anyway, its also good cos I was busy preparing the fruits for the fondue. Heres Pixs of some of the food they bought….food include: BBQ stingray, sambal kang kong, hokkien mee, herbal chicken, popiah, fried egg with oyster, popian, assorted satays, rojak and peach, strawberries, pears, apples, grapes for all ready to be dipped in chocolate.
Yummy Food
Chocolate Fondue......Color is a bit off tho.......
More sinful stuff.......
Enough of food already……….
The gals were all so sweet to bring gifts…..Lets see…in no particular sequence.
Tancy spent so much effort with a nice little self made note complete with my gavourite harley, many many words, ear studs and a book “Time’s Eye by Arthur C. Clarke” Heres a picture of it taken from her blog. Thanks Tancy…. for everything..... Enjoy the "Patrick".

Peh Shan got me a DVD ‘The Motorcycle Diaries directed by Walter Salles. I have yet to watch it...but heres a short summary from the reviews....
The Motorcycle Diaries is an adaptation of a journal written by Ernesto "Che" Guevara de la Serna when he was 23 years old. He and his friend, Alberto Granado are typical college students who, seeking fun and adventure before graduation, decide to travel across Argentina, Chile, Peru, Colombia, and Venezuela in order to do their medical residency at a leper colony. Beginning as a buddy/road movie in which Ernesto and Alberto are looking for chicks, fun and adventure before they must grow up and have a more serious life. As is said in the film itself, it's about "two lives running parallel for a while." The two best friends start off with the same goals and aspirations, but by the time the film is over, it's clear what each man's destiny has become.
According to PS, the movie is suposed to be watched when i'm feeling bored or when i need some inspiration. So i'm keeping this for a rainy day.
Thanks PS, you always have a strangely comforting outlook of life.

Thanks Ash, hope you have a great time in Bangkok and stay goofy always....

A Sad Day @ the Music Channel (Part 2)
The cat is outta the bag!!!!! or rather the golden list is out. I think its no big secret anymore. The media had a field day yesterday, today with reports on the newspaper, radio, internet etc.....I dun recall any other company who has such publicity......Hmmmm we are probably doing something right since there is no such thing as bad publicity.
There were heaps of tears and hugs that is so natural with the company, and I guess with every restructuring excercise, the human aspect just goes into overdrive and we console one another to put back some sanity into ourselves. More so with MTV.....sob.....sob....
Back to me….. well… you have probably know or knew that I was one of the 43% that was affected by the exercise. Yup….the Company had to realign the organizational and due to this, my role, or rather the whole department that I was in was made redundant.
A bit of history of what I do. Well…in a nutshell. You see all those commercials on the channel… well my team and I are responsible for making sure that these get on air….on time, in the right time slot and ensuring that everything else is fulfilled to fulfill all of these. These involve, liaising with the clients, agency, salesperson, local and overseas media owners….. etc.....
But after all this, I am so grateful for all the opportunities that I was given,…….the patience and guidance from my immediate team colleagues and bosses. You guys have made my 2 years stay here so memorable and I hope I have given you as such much as you have given me.
Let me take this opportunity to say thank you to you guys….here goes…..
Immediate team Boss Boss – Lim Yew Nee – I can never thank you enough, without your intervention last year, I wouldn’t be here. Your efforts are very much appreciated.
Boss - Paul Macgregory – Although its been a few months, you have been great.
Team - Kris Tan – You are like our big sis in the whole team. Thanks for always teaching me and explaining to me what to look out for.
Team – Heng WeiWei – You have always been there to help me out and thanks for injecting some fashion into the department.
Team – Pang MingMay – Thanks for ensuring that the numbers are always right and always letting us crash your place for gatherings and feeding us..
Traffic Team Ex Boss – Chia Teong Wee – My dear friend and boss. You have done so much for me and I’m gald how things have turned out for you. You will go further than where you are now. Thank You from the bottom of my heart.
Revenue Reporting Manager – Ong Sio Lay – You are the most perfection seeking person I know. Don’t be so hard on yourself K? Thanks for always injecting some logical and sensitive sense into every scenario.
Traffic Manager - Tracy Foo - The hippest mummy in the office. You have been so patient with me. Thanks .....You'll do great in your new role.
Traffic Scheduler for India - Tan Chiu Yan - We got really close these past few months. Its going to be sad leaving you. Take things one step at a time and all will fall in place eventually. See ya in Perth. :P
Traffic Scheduler for Taiwan - Ashaley Cheong - I know you are lost and sad abt all that happened. Focus on what you really one and work towards it. Enjoy your Bangkok Trip btw.
Traffic Scheduler for SAM - Lisa Low - Go towards your goal in Mass Communication and I'm sure you will get there eventually. Hang in there, can things get any worst?
Traffic Scheduler for SAM – Zainah Mohamad – Finally got your spelling right. Sorry for keep getting it wrong. Thanks for always solving all the problems with tapes.
Traffic Scheduler for Indo - Kelly Chai - Didn't get to know you really well, but you come across as a really fun loving and determined young girl. I wish you all the best in all your future endeavors.
Traffic Scheduler for China– Ariel Zhao – The girl who is perpetually hungry. You are my first PRC friend. Enjoy your stay in Singapore.
Revenue Reporting – Koh Huifen – Its amazing how you juggle work and studies all at the same time. Focus on whatever is more important to you and I’ll look for you if I ever need to evade taxes……hahahaha……
Motorola Team - Marissa Low, Yvette Lim, Chon Chui Ling and Antonio Canto. - Thanks for letting me take care and be part of your Motorola Team. I have learned heaps from all and you guys are truely a professional bunch of people.
Movie Team - Awy Julianto & Kiran Sharman - You have given me a new look into movies. I will appreciate movies a lot more now after realising how painful it is to sell and work a movie deal.
And lastly, I wanna thank my wife for putting up with me all these time, with the anxiety, the frustrations, the uncertainties ...... you have and always will be my beacon of light. Love you lots......
Sorry if I left anyone out…..

A Sad Day @ the Music Channel (Part 1)
After almost a month of speculation, it has finally happen. The company is undergoing another round of restructuring. The last major one was in December 2005. Now it looks like history is about to repeat itself and at an even more devastating scale.
At this present time of writing, I do not have the exact details and all will come to light in a couple of hours. Hmm many thoughts are running through this puny mind of mine. On one hand, I’m sad to leave this place that many a close bongs have been formed. On the other, it seems like the right thing to do…..to be forced out of this comfort zone and venture out into the unknown once again. Either way, the whole exercise in my opinion was handled inappropriately.
My wish is that everyone who is affected in this massacre eventually find their direction. Will be back for more once I get the details.
In the meanwhile, I have been taking photos with some of the colleagues that made it that much easier to come work daily.
